Working is pretty fun though.

Work

Finally finally finally!

Took them like 1 1/2 week to call, but they finally done it. And I resolve not to be like prin, who worked for a grand total of 3 days before calling it quits >.< Thats like so wasted, time on courses, money on typhoid injection, effort on finding the job.

I have decided. I will work till the results come out. If I decide (for some freak reason) to go to JC, I will stop work obviously. However, if its to the poly, I will work till March then slack until school starts. And I hope not to quit before these dates. But they make it sound so tough!

And I hate tyson.

I am legend

sucks. The action was good, suspenseful, good plot twists, but the ending ruined it.

Yesterday

Well, I will learn from kh and just skip everything, lol.

Christmas eve posting

Yeah, technically, its a new day, but its not to me until I have slept.

Went out with lots of people today. st, shir, jtan, jtse, sero, sc, binny, dan, tricia. Only me, binny, sc, shir met at tanah merah, then went to plaza singapura. After that, the rest trickled in as time went by, till the whole group assembled at around 6.40 after st finished working. dan and tricia left like 10 minutes later. >.< Well thats okay, since they can get so sickening anyways.

Walked to Orchard later. Sneaked into taka 2 minutes before closing, walked 1 round then left. INTO A BIG FREAKING CESSPOOL OF PEOPLE! Picture this. 1000 people, 1 block, commence riot. Okay, not really riot, since singaporeans being singaporeans, we are quite meek. Just lots of squeezing. And thanks ngee ann city for closing shop so early, for forcing the many in your shop out to the already overcrowded streets.

Left for home after that, since they were all tired. I am still brimming with energy though, lol. Didn't see many arousal aerosol sprays around. And many people offering free hugs. Which I have always thought is a pretty cool idea (search 'free hugs' on youtube). Ate supper at mac before returning home.

Thanks for the gift kh, and sc + shir for the letters (though they were near-delusional and I decided to keep them in my bag cause I am afraid my parents would chance upon those letters).

Weird me

So I just woke up after having a relatively strange dream.

I dreamt that I was in prison for 4 months. Can't really remember anything about it, except the last part.

Well, that part was the time when everyone received letters from home, and I distinctly remember crying as I read my brother's letter. And thats when I woke up.

I have a love-hate relations with these kind of dreams. On the one hand, they are quite scary ( and I remember having the same kind of dreams, but different scenarios previously). On the other, they usually involve me realising how strong/powerful my brotherly/family love is.

Oh, and why I was incarcerated? My incompetent lawyer went for a plea-bargain instead of going through a trial which I would have won (think I was either innocent or had a really minor infraction). Conclusion : Too much John Grisham's books.

Back to the real world, I have an achy neck now. Thankfully not my limbs or shoulders, since I went to the gym yesterday with Prin.

We exercised, and after the treadmill and the cycling machine, Prin started complaining of being too tired. >.< Well, actually, he said he was tired already when we walked from his house to the gym. Surprisingly, we met Darren and Jason midway through the Stairsmaster (and Darren said that he could that tahan Jason's size, hence they went to the gym, lol). Left shortly after that to eat and play before home.

The eve of Christmas eve!

Went for course yesterday, taught us alot about airport stuff, procedures, locations etc.

Lasted for 8 hours! At least it wasn't a total bore, kinda fun, except for the length.

20th post!

What a milestone!

Might as well blog more since I have the time.

Okay... I have nothing to blog about.

Lack of planning or ?

Yesterday, while sleeping, suddenly received a phone call. Turned out that it was from Yakun, and to be there at 10am tomorrow. So I had a busy day, had to rush to get Typhoid injection, photocopy lots of stuff and buy pants.

Hm, not in the mood to blog so I'll keep it short.

Today, reached Yakun and had to wait for quite some time before they interviewed us again >.< Prin, binny and me were there. Which was so dumb cause they told us to bring photocopies of bank account today, so obviously we were starting work right? Anyways, we have to wait for another phone call now and I think I will be posted to Yakun.

Since I am not working, I can technically go to tuition's BBQ. But since I already said no, then /shrug. Anyway I don't want to feel extra there la, haha, go tuition for 6 months only.

Peeves

Oh dear, after that extremely drab post, I decided to rant a little. Hahah.

Firstly, on the way back to Tanah Merah from Changi Airport, I noticed that the announcement announced (sorry, ran out of words) that the train was terminating at Tanah Merah. That sounds strange. Shouldn't it be the line, instead of the train. The train terminating at Tanah Merah sounds as though there is a junkyard at Tanah Merah and it will be sent there. I don't know, maybe I am wrong, but it still sounds funny to me.

Thats all.

Well, there was supposed to be a secondly, but I am too lazy to write, maybe next time.

18.12

Been such a long time since I have posted, haha. Though I am trying to post every day, sometimes I just can't. Not due to any laziness on my part though, just other circumstances. Like my brother passing out and having his holiday now. He is practically hogging the computer everyday. But I don't mind at all, since I know how tough it is for him, and after this 2 weeks, I doubt he will have any other long holiday till his ORD. So I am willingly letting him hog the computer and enjoy himself now. lol.

Let me blog about my activities this past days.

Sunday - Obtained new hand phone, slept for the entire day.
Saturday - Went out ( I think).
Friday - Slept.
Thursday - Slept?
Haha, pretty dull as you can see.

Ahem, today! Received news that Prin is back from Indonesia. I guess I will be spending more time in the LAN shop now (it is inevitable with him around). Met him at 3.45 today, before proceeding to the airport. I thought that he had a clear idea of what we were going to do there, but I was proven wrong.>.< In the end, we just strolled around 2/3 (since we went only to terminal 2 and 3) of the airport. Went to his future workplace first, where he remarked that it was in the middle of nowhere. He looked shocked. Then, he started talking some crap about being shy, etc.

Next, we went to Terminal 3, where it looked more open ( or I wasn't being very observant the last time I was there). We were trying to find his shop, Guillian ( or Gillian or Gillan or ... you get the idea). Went up to the upper levels ( haven't been there before) and the viewing mall. While the viewing mall looked very... poorly planned. Or maybe (hopefully) it will be changed before Terminal 3 opens. Where there are usually just large windows allowing you to see the parked planes, panels of metal now adorn the windows. Which leads to a blocked view of the planes. I guess I am not really good at explaining it, you can easily see it for yourself though. Next, went to the floor plans and stuff talking about the features of the new terminal. Where Prin tripped and nearly hit his head on the floor plan. Which would have been a good start to the Terminal. And the floor plan was incorrect, at least the position of where you are suppose to be. Again, it is easily noticeable if you have at least a basic sense of direction (which Prin doesn't posses). Walked around the basement and stuff before heading back to Bedok.

Geez, what a long and boring paragraph.

Ate at KFC in Bedok, before playing a little LAN, after which we went to Plaza Singapura. Reached there early, walked around and browsed through shops (hm, all these sounds familiar).
Went outside, where Prin was fascinated with the Christmas Tree, and him and Jeremy were suddenly obsessed over taking pictures. Went to an outdoor exhibition-ish thing with life-size statues and stuff (not sure what its called). Took photos, walked past Starbucks, Jeremy decided to apply despite them needing you to stay for 6 (!) months. Speaking of which, I was surprised to hear that the people in the airport were planning to quit soon. Hm, thought that they were happy working there.

Finally met st when she walked past Starbucks, went home, ate supper, went home. ?

Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial

Just finished watching this documentary about Intelligent Design vs Evolution ( natural selection).

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/program.html

Basically, it is about a lawsuit in the US when a school board introduced the theory of Intelligent Design in Biology classes. Many people for introducing ID, many against, yadda yadda, cue a legal battle about how constitutional it is to teach ID.

While it may be happening in the US, I still feel it is an interesting documentary. Although it is of movie length (108 mins), it is divided into smaller parts of ~10minutes, making it easy to watch. Pretty educational stuff inside too. Hence, I have learnt much more (okay, slightly) about a bacterial flagellum.

For more free (and shorter) documentaries - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/programs/int_anth.html

And now, on today.

Which consisted of doing pretty much, nothing. Woke up at 11.30 ( even when I slept at 1am yesterday, which is early nowadays), eat, play till 4, then sleep to 6. Ate dinner at 7, did things till I didn't realise it was alraedy 9, watched TV, documentary, until now, 2am.

On the plus side, I now want 2 additional books, The Perpetual Prison Machine ( which NLB doesn't even have a single copy of) and Of Pandas and People. Much thanks to people who can help me find them, if possible, hehe.

Daily ramblings

So I am reading Tricia's blog and I don't know whether to go - oO or >.< I mus say that I am aghast. My blog making her English look pathetic? That's preposterous! I hope that the emoticon at the end means she was joking or something, cause I feel that it is the other way round right now.

Anyways, I went out today for the third (?) consecutive time this week. In the morning (well, okay afternoon since I woke up at 11.45), met them to play some basketball. Just as I was arriving, it started to rain. What dreadful luck, ugh. I started thinking ( and giggling) to myself that they were bound to blame me for the rain when I arrived. Surprisingly, I wasn't blamed, lol. Saw them under a pavilion (sp?) talking, then when the rain abated, we played a team match. For all of 5 minutes. Since jtse snubbed his toe (or was it scratched?), we decided to call off the match and met again at 3 at Tanah Merah.

Ahem, the ranting starts.

rant

I rushed home and took a quick shower then relaxed for a while ( cause it was only 2.30, haha. Can't delude myself that I worked extremely hard just to arrive punctually. You guys can stop giving me that look now. <_< ). Arrived at tm (that is, tanah merah) early, ironically, at 3pm. Had to wait a total of 30minutes for everyone to arrive (shir, bh, sc, jtse, st in that order). Props though to shir for being the next to arrive (even though she was still 10 minutes late) so I could finally have a conversation and not die of boredom.

/rant

Headed to Orchard later, walked for a long time, till nightfall, window shopping and talking and slacking as we made our way to Plaza Singapura. And at Cineleisure, something horrifying happened. The rest were kidnapped, leaving st and I alone! Very funny guys, har har, lets see you guys try that trick at Suntec or Eastpoint.

After we reached Plaza, at around 8ish (?), we went to the airport, since me and binny ( or is that binny and me?, or maybe binny and I is the only correct phrase?) decided to work at the airport. Just exhausted from finding jobs which amounted to zilch in the end. Met jtan first, ate at Mac, then hl came, went to T3, realised Yakun closed, went back home.

And that was the end of our outing, hope that we will finally get a job tomorrow. I have made up my mind to work like a mule for 2 months before slacking for the rest of the holidays (unless I go to JC, when school starts at Feb?)

Edit : And blogger wouldn't let me put the, um, I don't know what its called. Its the two signs between the 'm' and slash on a keyboard. Shoot, I forgot what my keyboard is called too.
Edit 2: Ahaha, just remembered, its a QWERTY keyboard, though I still don't know what those two signs are. Ampersands or something?
Edit 3: Ampersand is &. According to wiki, they are called guillemets, though they come in pairs. For the clueless, I mean those signs used to indicate the title of a book in Chinese. Although in html, they are only used singularly to indicate commands, so I suppose they should be guillemet or singular guillemets? Lol, what a terribly long edit.
Edit 4! : I think ampersands need to have an 's' at the back, even if there is only 1. Or maybe I am wrong. Ahaha, how cool, the English language, to have names (albeit weird) for signs too. Like umlauts and stuff.
Edit 5 : And blogger edit post seems to be somewhat faulty.

Heroesssss

Every hero is on a journey to save the world. It's a journey. You don't start at the end.

Ahaha, such a meaningful quote.

Another day, another outing

To Kallang Leisure Centre (?) this time! But first, met with bh at Marine Parade for some inexplicit reason ( said heavy rain, wanted to meet at MP even though he had an umbrella). En route, Dan told me that the Sportslink at Kallang had another opening. Prior to that, had already decided to check that place out and look for jobs there, due to st's insistence.

Reached there at about 3.30ish, then I realised the mall were just half opened. Most of the shops are still undergoing renovation. Seems like most of the opened shops are entertainment outlets, i.e ice skating rink, video arcade and bowling alleys and food outlets. Basically, there is nothing much to do there at the moment. And nothing much to do there in the future, me thinks. Just another mall, imo.

After wandering around the mall, I finally went to apply at Sportslink. Just another application, haha. Seriously, I have to say about it.

After that, we went home.

Yeah, abrupt ending and all, but it is just an ordinary day.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

Tagboard

Tagboard added, due to popular demands (well, okay, one).

10.12

New post!

Hm, what do I have to post about? Seems like absolutely nothing to me. Ah well, guess i will just ramble a little.

What did I do today? Well, it was the exact copy of what I did yesterday, except without going out at all. Haha, that was easy >.<

Oh well, let me ramble a little. Oh wait, I already written that. Hm, what's wrong with me?

Thinking of what to talk about ...
Thinking ...

Thinking ...

Thinking ...

-_-''

Let me extol the virtues of food to someone then. Food provides nutrient, allowing bodily functions to take place. Thus, food = good (unless its spoilt, I suppose). And since good = positive , we should eat more. Not exactly eat more per se, but eat. As in, not skipping meals and thinking that your body is strong >.< Cause your mind and your body are different. When you say you are strong and can take it, your MIND is strong, not your body. When your body doesn't have enough nutrients, its malfunctions, regardless of how strong your mind is. Think of your mind as something conscious, controllable, and your body as the opposite, like your sub-conscious mind, uncontrollable. Thus, you should stop thinking that you are strong and will absolutely not, under any circumstances, faint. -.-

$2

What can you spend with $2? Food? Chicken rice, I know of a store that sells a plate for $2. Drinks I suppose (or does that fall under the category of food?). Hm, what else? How about transport fares? Yep, spent an estimated $2 yesterday on transport.

First, travelled to Suntec, Plaza Singapura, back to Suntec then home. Why the repeated trips? Answer : poor planning. Haha. Went to Suntec first to look for job at waffle shop, then they were busy, so we, i.e st and I, went to Plaza cause it was almost time for her work. On the way to Plaza, she was grouching repeatedly at me for making a wasted trip, haha. Then went back to apply after sending her to Plaza, and they said they will call me. >.< So meh, doubt I will be getting that job. Haha, anyone got jobs to recommend (though it will be difficult with an official readership of one).

Eat and sleep - that's my life

I am starved! Haha just joking, totally um.. full (hm, seems to be out of any vocab).

Just ate with family at Newton, seafood and stuff. Lots of delicacies, chili sotong, chili crab, fried squid and crayfish. All in all, great food there, haha. Hm, my writing seem to have worsen.

And why the sleeping part, you may ask. Well, I think I am becoming the epitome of laziness. Slept last night at 1am, abruptly ending a talk with st cause I was too tired. 1am is actually pretty early for me now, haha. So I woke up at 8.30am, then went right back to sleep till 12. Ate lunch, went online for about an hour, then went for a haircut. Returned home, went back online, before returning to sleep an hour later until 6pm. See? Haha, I am getting extremely lazy.

Newsflash!

http://www.newsobserver.com/news/wake/story/814331.html

Today

Second post! lol

Hm, what to post ar... aiyo

So I went out today with st and kh, surprised when she asked me out yesterday. After all, when I went to pick her up after work yesterday, she was totally exhausted. Like falling asleep at the train and stairs. >.< And she still wanted 2 jobs! That is so .. stupid? Haiz, always think rest is not important.

Anyways, I reached Bedok station and saw them there, standing near the map of all the stations. At first, I thought that they were just checking which way to go, then I realised that st was choosing our destination from there. kh and I were like diaoz. Haha. Eventually decided on Orchard. Upon reaching Orchard, we went window shopping, from Lucky Plaza to Paragon to Takashimiya (sp?) then walk down to Somerset. And st was requesting us to surrender the whole time, cause she walked until too tired le.

We, being the no-lifers (at least for today) that we are, sat down next to another map while st chose our next destination. Spent like 10 minutes just joking around before st finally decided to go to Vivocity. Eat KFC there, then walk around (again) until 6. Initially wanted to go home, but changed our minds after realising that it was the peak period. So we went up the station, browse the shops until 7-ish. Took train home, then sent st and kh home. Lol, what a way to spend our day.

On a side note, I am still looking for a job. However, some of the jobs my friends take are quite frightening. The working hours are even longer than a regular job, like from morning to late at night. I don't mind the tiredness of the job, but working those hours will leave me no time to raid, so I am hoping for a true part time job, as in shorter and more flexible hours. Hehehe.
Additionally, its not like I am in desperate need of money, so I rather not work such long hours.

First post

Well I am bored, so I created this blog, lol
